Introduction Event of the “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs” project was held on 28.09.2021.
The Introduction Meeting of the “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs” project was held in Ankara on 28 September 2021 with the participation of the European Union Delegation to Turkey, the Contracting Authority (Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure), the End Recipient of Assistance (General Directorate for Transport Services Regulation) and other project stakeholders. The project has commenced on 22.02.2021 officially and is implemented by Eptisa (Turkey-Spain) -Avensa (Romania) Consortium. The project aims to improve legislative and institutional capacities of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastucture by several trainings and field visits to facilitate the Acquis alignment process and to strengthen the policy dialogue with the EU in the field of transport. The opening speeches of the Introduction Meeting were made by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Selim Dursun, EU Delegation to Turkey, Transport Policy and Infrastructure Investments Sector Manager Göktuğ Kara, EU Foreign Relations General Manager Burak Aykan and General Manager Murat Baştor. Approximately 100 guests from TSE, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Interior, TOBB, Gendarmerie General Command, General Directorate of Public Health, UTIKAD and General Directorate of Highways attended. During the Meeting, project’s purpose and general information about the ATP was presented by the team leader Yaroslav Bilyy and ATP expert Emrah Deniz.
