Under the scope of “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs” Project, first study visit to ATP contracting partner country, Spain, was carried out.
Within
the scope of the Project “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and
Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs”, study visit group
formed by Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure DG for Transport Services
Regulation, Turkish Standards Institute, Ministry of Trade, General Command of
Gendarmerie, General Directorate of Security and project team specialists have
performed a meeting with Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Development
of Spain.
Methods,
procedures and frequently encountered issues with regards to implementation of
ATP regulations within Spain was presented by the Spanish Ministry.
Followingly, information exchange and questions and answers session was carried
out.
Spain’s
first cold tunnel (TÚNEL
DEL FRÍO, 1983) was also examined after the meeting by the project
team. Test center was investigated and practical information on ATP testing
procedures were given by test center operatives.
Study
visit was concluded with a visit to Hermanos Ortiz Jarreño, S.L test center and cold tunnel.
