“The Workshop on New Legislation and Practices on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs" was held in Ankara on 7 - 8 February 2022
All stakeholders related to
perishable food transportation were brought together at the workshop organized
within the scope of the "Strengthening Institutional Capacity in the
Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs" project, which is being conducted
by the Ministry of Transport and
Infrastructure and the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation
under USOP and supported by the European Union.
In the workshop;
Opinions were exchanged on the compliance status and
readiness of all sectors related to the new regulation.

The speakers in the workshop informed the participants by
making several presentations about the transactions they made in their own
sectors.
In addition to the officials of the Ministry of Transport and
Infrastructure, FAO, TSE, UND, ASÜD, BESD-BIR, Treder, SETBIR, Food Safety
Association, SOSIAD, ISIB and experts from the private sector attended as
Workshop speakers and a question and answer session was held at the end of each
panel.
One of the prominent results of the workshop; It has been observed that the
national transport operations of the main companies in the ATP / Perishable
Food sector are carried out in accordance with the new regulation. ATP.
Therefore, it has been determined that it would be appropriate to implement the
ATP obligation at the end of the 3-year transition period determined in
national transports, without a need for another postponement. By this way,
unfair competition will also be prevented.
